Solution
Here the only view you can rule out immediately is the one from "behind" (Option E): If the
view from the front shows one end of the cable leading toward the back of the cube at the top right,
the view from behind would show this cable end "coming at you" at the top left. This is not
the case in the right-hand picture. If you tip the cube forward in your imagination, you immediately
see that the correct answer cannot be the view from "above;" and turning the cube 180 degrees
or 90 degrees to the right also does not lead to the desired perspective. But if you imagine yourself
standing on the right side of the cube, you see that the end of the cable which is concealed in the
left-hand illustration comes toward you on the right side of the cube in the right-hand illustration:
Therefore "right" (A) is the correct answer.
