In the case of this simple example, you can immediately rule out the perspective from "below" and "above." From below as well as from above, you would be looking through a kind of "tube.". Therefore the perspective illustrated on the right can only be the view from the "right.", the "left" or "behind.". Now look at the bottom end of the cable: In the left-hand picture it "faces" you. In the right-hand picture it faces away from you, i.e. points in exactly the opposite direction. Therefore it is clear that the right-hand picture shows the view from "behind." (solution letter E).
