You will work on six short texts with different topics and degrees of difficulty on the computer.

Here you can familiarise yourself with the onScreen.

Get to know the onScreen. To do so, work on a sample test which consists of two tasks. These tasks are gap-filling texts with 20 gaps each. When you have worked on both texts, you will be informed on how many points you have achieved. You can achieve a maximum of 40 points. (Please note: The number of points is given only in the sample test. On the day of exam, no onScreen result will be displayed.)

On starting the sample test you will first receive instructions on how to proceed. You will learn what to do and how much time you have to work on the texts.

Nearly everything is like the onScreen. Nevertheless, there are a few differences:

There are not six, but only two texts.
All in all the texts are easier than the onScreen texts.
Your level of proficiency will not be assessed.
You can repeatedly call up the sample test and work on it as often as you like.
The texts are always the same and appear in the same order.

Use this opportunity to get acquainted with the onScreen before you take the actual test. This way you learn what the texts look like and how they are to be dealt with.

When you start the sample test, there will be an automatic check, if your computer is correctly adjusted. It is very important that pop-ups are permitted. If necessary, please change the settings.
